Questions and Answers
Below is a series of frequestly asked questions and the answers that pertain to G & A's Desert Doodles
Are the parent's certified?
Yes, Apollo and Gianna are both AKC registered with AKC blood lines.

Can I meet the parent's when I come to pick up my puppy?
Absolutely. We pride ourselves on socializing and loving on our puppies, along with Apollo and Gianna. We want you to love your puppy and be proud of where your puppy comes from.

What is the price our puppies?
Each puppy is individually unique, and price varies on gender, color, or type of coat. Please message us regarding which puppy you are specifically interested in. Each puppy will come with their own puppy package once they are ready to go home with you.

Are there health concerns associated with the Portidoodle breed?
Portidoodles like all breeds can be prone to genetic health conditions. However, with these puppies being a designer doodle, benefit from a concept called, "hybrid vigor." This means that your gorgeous puppy can potentially be healthier than the purebred Standard Poodle and the Portuguese Water Dog. Unfortunately, as the puppy ages, they could still inherit common issues between the purebred parents- such as hip dysplasia, eye conditions, and some skin issues. Please know each puppy is unique and different and may not inherit any of the genetic health conditions. It is just good to be aware and be willing to be proactive in their health care.

Are the puppies socailized?
Yes! The puppies are socialized and desensitized and love to be around people of all ages. Our puppies are loved on daily, cared for, monitored, and trained. We love the puppies and prepare them for any environment they may be brought into. We want them to be fully ready as they are welcomed into your family.

When will my puppy need to go to the vet?
Your puppy will be health checked by a vet around 6-8 weeks old. This will be right before they are ready to go home with you. Once you get your puppy home we encourage you to get your puppy's next vet appointment scheduled within the next 3 weeks. The vet will then make arrangements with you for their continued shots and well-puppy visits. This is a required step in the adoption process and proof of vet appointment will need to be shown.

When can I bring my puppy home?
Your new puppy will be ready to go home when they reach 8 weeks of age. This gives the puppy time to wean off of the mom and to have all of their well visits and shots up to date.
